Education: Graduated in 1984 from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Meteorology
I started working with WeatherBank, Inc. in 1983 and continued with them through September of 2007. We started with one consulting client and I played a significant role in the unprecedented growth that saw our consulting division thrive. I was the lead forecaster for more than 15 years and helped develop many forecasters fresh from college and worked with numerous clients to improve their understanding of weather and the impact it has on their business and operations.
During the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, I was honored to be one of the forecasters that provided them with weather information. For the two years prior we forecasted for various World Cup events in order to provide the most accurate results for the Olympics. Cooperation between the University of Utah, National Weather Service and the private industry made for a great experience.
